Kambujiya I (western: Cambyses I) was the son of Kuroush I. He ruled in the Anshan region under the Median Overlords. His province was forced to pay tribute to Astyages. According to legend he married Astyages' daughter and had Kuroush II. However this story cannot be confirmed. He was noted for being a quite and patient man, traits which Kuroush II would demonstrate in his diplomacy. |
