Artakhshathra IV(reign circa 338BC-336BC) His real name appears to be Arses, but the next king to take the throne took the title Artakhshathra IV. His whole family had been slaughtered by Bagoi, the powerful vizier. Quite young, Arthakhshathra IV could not do much and most of his two year reign was dictated by Bagoi. Disgruntled nobles persuaded Artakhshathra to murder Bagoi. However Bagoi learned of this and the Artakhshathra later died of a mysterious poisoning, presumably the work of Bagoi. He was suceeded by his cousin Darayavaush III.
